Le présent document, qui fait suite aux requêtes de multiples acteurs de la vie culturelle vietnamienne (Services Culturels des Ambassades du Vietnam, Organisations d’enseignement de la langue Vietnamienne, Associations sportives et culturelles axées sur les arts martiaux traditionnels vietnamiens, …),
a été réalisé par Maître T.V. Bảo et Maître N.C. Tốt – en charge de la Supervision Technique et de la Communication internationale, qui nous signalent les difficultés particulières liées aux spécificités des tournures et mots utilisés au Võ cổ truyền Việt Nam qui relèvent de l’ancienne forme linguistique « Hán Việt » (langage et écriture de connotation « idéographique » et « idéogrammatique »).
Les traductions, en anglais comme en français, étant de ce fait assez difficiles à réaliser ont été exécutées dans l’optique d’une adaptation « au plus proche » au langage utilisé dans le domaine des arts martiaux « modernes » et avec la volonté de préserver le sens original des termes comme des références historiques et des « paraboles » qu’ils renferment parfois. This document, which follows the requests of multiple actors in Vietnamese cultural life (Vietnam Embassy Cultural Services, Vietnamese Language Education Organizations, Sports and Cultural Associations focused on traditional Vietnamese martial arts, …),was directed by Master T.V. Bảo and Master N.C. Tốt – in charge of Technical Supervision and International Communication, who point out to us the particular difficulties related to the specificities of the idioms and words used in the Việt Nam Võ cổ truyền that fall under the ancient linguistic form « Hán Việt » (language and writing with « ideographic » and « ideogramogram » connotations). The translations, in both English and French, were therefore quite difficult to carry out and were executed with a view to adapting « as close as possible » to the language used in the field of « modern » martial arts and with the desire to preserve the original meaning of terms such as historical references and the « parables » they sometimes contain.
